Bookblock Editions recently collaborated with London based Designer and Illustrator Peter Judson and we can’t get enough of his striking, graphical designs on our notebooks. Graduating from Kingston University in 2013 with a degree in Illustration, Peter has since worked with an impressive list of clients such as The Guardian, Esquire and Unilever.
Inspired by movements such as formalism and memphis-influenced design, Judson’s work often focuses in on the details of construction elements; transforming them into graphic abstract pieces of art. His work varies between depicting busy scenes, brimming with vibrant colours and patterns, and simplistic, abstracted close-ups of objects. He is brilliant at balancing colour and form, and is graphically sophisticated with pairing down objects to their most simplistic shapes. We love the way in which he combines both technical architectural illustration with bright, playful colours and mesmerising patterns to create a style which is immediately eye-catching.
