POST, Copenhagen’s newest design festival, running from 17-20 August, offers talks, debates, social events and creative workshops. With tickets already selling for one workshop, a second workshop has just been confirmed.
Designers, illustrators, students, academics and those with a keen interest in design are invited to attend two days of workshops, two days of talks and four evenings of debates, discussions and parties at Space10 in Kødbyen. POST Design Festival offers the opportunity to explore contemporary graphic design and illustration, to discuss the issues facing designers and illustrators today, and to question design and illustration’s relevance and impact in our wider society. POST also offers the opportunity for students, designers, artists and creative enthusiasts to participate in practical workshops, because design is about so much more than just talking.
The POST workshops programme features two two-day workshops running on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 August from 10am – 4pm, encouraging practitioners and students to explore the themes of the festival in a practical way.
Supermundane, who has recently collaborated with Bookblock will also be holding a workshop with Kate Gibb. The two UK designers will present a highly entertaining and conceptual journey through the process of creativity using chaos, mystery and random number generation. They will demonstrate other ideas about where creativity is in the cosmos and how the self – normally seen as the seat of creativity – is as much illusion as steersman.
POST Design Festival takes place in Space10, Flæsketorvet 10, 1711 Copenhagen V.
POST is an English language event.
